In most weddings, bridesmaids are typically a woman, and often a close friend or relative of the bride. If someone was asked to be part of a wedding as a bridesmaid, they must also consider it as a huge honor, because it only means that the bride really considers them as one of the closest friends she has in her life.

I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. This is a decent little book to read if you have a little bit of time to fill but nothing in the story really stood out in my opinion. When I read this book, I was actually looking for a light read that I could finish during a road trip and this book fit my needs perfectly. Jules comes to Italy to see her sister, Lizzie.

She is soon enlisted to stay and help pull tog This review can also be found at Carole's Random Life. She is soon enlisted to stay and help pull together a wedding for Lizzie and Dante. She finds herself with Dante's brother, Stefano a lot during this visit starting with the moment she steps off the plane.

A bridesmaid’s tale

Jules accepts Stefano's offer to stay at the villa during her visit because she feels a little uncomfortable around Lizzie and Dante. Stefano finds himself right in the middle of all of the wedding planning and it seems that he and Jules are responsible for planning the whole event. Stefano has given up on love. He tried once and it ended badly and he believes that the DeFiore men are cursed since things seem to always end tragically. He still finds himself strongly attracted to Jules even though she is very different than anyone else he has ever met.

I found this book to be very predictable in a way that can be somewhat common in romances.

Of course, I knew right away that Jules and Stefano would be a couple before the book was over. I liked them together well enough but there was never any moment in the book that really pulled me in emotionally. I also found that I really needed to just kind of go with this story because there were a few things that I found to be highly improbable.

I still don't understand why Jules and Stefano were planning Lizzie and Dante's wedding without any real help from the couple actually getting married. I mean does that kind of thing ever really happen? I also thought that it was a bit crazy to think that Jules would come to a whole different country to visit her sister and then choose not to stay with her during her visit.

She didn't even see very much of her during this story.

Look: girl with no female best friends ased her male friends to be her bridesmaids

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, easy romantic story. I think that this book could be read as a stand alone novel without any trouble although there are a few topics carried over from the first book, The Playboy of Rome. I received a copy of this book from author for the purpose of providing an honest review. Mar 12, Izy rated it liked it Shelves: harlequin-mills-boon, arccontemporary.

Bridesmaid stories

Stefano DeFiore is the brother of the groom, he believes that the couple is rushing into marriage especially with all the tragic endings that DeFiore men in the family including himself have suffered in love and marriage. I did liked Stefano and Jules relationship. Their moments were sweet and they both genuinely wanted to understand and know more about each other. He was sweet and very understanding towards Jules. He saw underneath all the makeup, masks to the real Jules, and wanted her to make her see that her scars did not matter and that she was beautiful inside out.

Quibbles: Like the last book in the series, the heroine Jules was insecure, very sensitive and misunderstood what Stefano said a lot the times which got on my nerves. Overallit was a okay read with little angst.

I enjoyed it more than the book in the series. View all 3 comments. Jan 21, Julie rated it really liked it Shelves: e-bookharlequincontemporary-romancenight-owl-reviews. Can the beautiful and free spirited Jules awaken Stephano and free him from his self-imposed exile from life and love? Can Jules learn to stand up for herself and follow her own path? Although they may seem like an unlikely match, they have an undeniable chemistry and are exactly what the other needs. They complement each other perfectly and the ending is really special.

A fast, easy and very romantic read.

To read the review in it's entirety go t Can the beautiful and free spirited Jules awaken Stephano and free him from his self-imposed exile from life and love? Best Man for the Bridesmaid is a perfectly fine book. I was just bored or rolling my eyes or bored while rolling my eyes.

Basically alone.

Because reasons. Jules is SO alone planning this wedding that makes Stefano, the hero, pretend that they Jules and Stefano are the couple being married. I pushed through quite a bit until I got to the point where I was bored of being bored.

I then put the book down for…only God knows how long, really. A few weeks?

I decided to skim-read to the end because the book was due back at the library on Jun The more I skimmed, the less interested I was. I did read the ending. In the first book we get a small look into the Male bridesmaid stories of the people they love the most. For Lizzie that is her foster sister Jules and for Dante his brother Stefano. Jules has flown from New York to help her sister prepare for her wedding to Dante. You can see the chemistry between the two of them come right off of the. But they both have a past that neither one of them is willing to reveal to the other. They both feel that they are not meant for love but the closer they get the more they both start to wonder.

Best Man for the Bridesmaid is told from two different point of views. All in all it was a good story, the plot was reveled early and you knew where it was going to take you. However there were a lot of details left open for me in the end of the story that I wish were tied up.
